Joel Chandler Harris' most successful story--"The Wonderful Tar Baby Story"--has been told and retold over the past two centuries on different continents and in different languages.  The story even finds its way into contemporary American politics.

What makes the Tar Baby story so compelling?  What makes any story so compelling?  The Wren's Nest Ramblers may have the answer.  The Ramblers are the storytelling troupe from the historic home of Joel Chandler Harris, the Wren's Nest.

Each Rambler has a different vision and version of the Tar Baby story.  Host Lain Shakespeare compares each version, and welcomes you to sort out the importance of voice and detail in any great story.
